ASPA's Mission

ASPA is the leading interdisciplinary public service organization that:

Chapter History

 

The Sacramento Chapter (ASPA Sacramento) was founded in 1940. ASPA Sacramento's activities include the annual public service reception, educational programs where speakers and panels discuss timely public administration issues, civic service outreach events, publication of a newsletter, and an annual awards dinner. Since 1982, ASPA Sacramento has recognized outstanding local public administrators, professors and students through its awards program.

 Programs

The Chapter conducts programs through-out the year featuring noted public figures speaking on critical issues in Government.  Topics range from Personnel Practices to Technology to Managing in Extreme Budget Times.  Other programs have featured discussions related to the change of administrations and the implications of new policy perspectives for public adminstration.
